Building a cheap g4560 system. Have all the parts and ram seems way more expensive now than when I built my last system in January. $62-65 is the best deal I'm able to find in a single 8gb stick. Is it all basically the same?

in a general sense if you're on a budget , then all ram is the same

just make sure it's compatible

No not really?

 

Some use different ics than each other which affects latency and frequency it's rated for. This also affects OCing capability.

 

Even between ram using the same type of ics there are discrepancies, just like how with CPUs there's the silicon lottery.

 

And obviously there is ram with different capacities as well as different numbers of ranks.
