My Corsair STRAFE RGB backlight died again

So...I bought the first one in January 2017, on May 26th I found some keys' backlight turned red and yellow, so I submitted a ticket and got a new one few days later. first one

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And when I got back home today and turned on my computer......second one

Try other usb ports - also put in a ticket with corsair

Also try usb 2 and usb 3 ports and see if the problem is the same

Still the same, I've tried update keyboard drive, switch port, even another pc, it's hardware problem I think

I'm not quite sure what the issue is from what you're describing, but I'd try resetting your lighting profiles.

That really sucks. Hopefully the next keyboard you get works from RMA.

 

Seems kind of strange the backlight would just do that though. It looks like a lighting profile issue somehow / software related maybe?

I mean not only in all-white mode, no matter what color I set those keys, they just more RED/PINK

its not that wierd.. rgb leds use all 3 colours to create white

if one or two of the tree channels die this happens

Yeah, but I'm used to LEDs being long life and all...I mean the keyboard isn't all that old.

 

But well, it does make sense though, but very odd to see RGB channels dying like that. I guess it's just random.

yeah thats true..

maybe a voltage spike or something killed the channels

Corsair are pretty bad with their RGB LEDs. submit another ticket

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
