Collapse of society

filipcro

So...let's say someday society collapses and there is no more internet and nobody produces games. As I have solar power and can easily store thousands of movies, TV shows and games on a couple of 4TB drives how would I go about storing all the Steam games and playing them if there is no more "online".
Can this be done?

Doesn't Steam have a backup plan that if they have to go that you can download your game permanently without needing Steam anymore?

If steam go out of business they'll either release an update so you can keep playing, or another company will buy the rights and take over.

If you are trying to find a way to run steam games without steam because you are a sneaky sneakerson who doesn't want to admit to piracy on the forums then you are out of luck. :P
