Would this raid card worrk for my server?

I have a server and learned my lsi raid card doesn't support >2tb drives.  Would this card work? I am using 5 3tb WD Red drives in what will be raid Z using FreeNAS.  All the drives are connected via 2 sas cables

I would get a newer LSI RAID card, those generation Adaptec cards were pretty bad. Also check there isn't a firmware update for your current card that allows greater than 2TB support.

Are you going to use the hardware RAID features of the card or use software RAID like ZFS?

LSI 9211 IT mode, heaps on ebay. IBM M1015 is the same thing btw also heaps of those on ebay already in IT mode.
