Adobe premiere render server i9 7900 or threadripper 1950x?

At the company I work in as a it specialist for system integration, we want to build a render server for our marketing team. We are trying to evaluate wich processor to use. What does the community think?

I think Threadripper is faster, but you're limited on cooling at that moment.

At our company, we are able to make waterblocks ourselves. That's not the problem. We wanted to do water-cooling anyways, because the lifespan of our server is important to us due to cost of buying a system like this

In Premier Threadripper is about 10-20 seconds from a video I was watching in this specific task.  i9 was better in some gaming, though.

It is a company render server. Not my personal gaming rig.

Well, from the video I was watching in Adobe Premier CC export MP4 4k whatever TR got 117 seconds where the i9 got like 141 seconds.  Meaning that TR is faster at rendering a 4k video.

Can you send me the link?

I don't think if you have to, as EKWB is getting to release the EK-Supremacy EVO Threadripper Edition tomorrow. It will mount onto both the SP3 and the TR4 (SP3r2) socket, and comes in three different flavors (Nickel / Dark Plexi (at least to me in their pictures), Nickel / Acetal, and Full Nickel), so that's more convenient than trying to fabricate one to me.

Threadripper is sure faster in video encoding, as Gamers Nexus tested that. However if you can do CUDA acceleration in encoding, that shouldn't matter as much. But if you're limited to CPU encoding and can't do GPU-accelerated encoding via CUDA, then go with Threadripper.
