Here is what I was thinking. They have a server but want local solid state storage. They also need to run two monitors thats why I included that GPU. No used parts otherwise I'd pick up a cheap 750 or something.

Thanks for the help.

How much CPU power do they need?

seems like you could save quite a bit of money with a G4560 or even a i5 7400, since then you wouldn't need a GPU.

Thanks for the help.

If you don't need a dGPU for anything then get a Pentium and use the iGPU.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Literally just web browsing and printing stuff off. Word docs, emails. Super light photo editing.

I that's all its for - I'd not use a GPU and replace the ryzen with an intel chip and run it off of that. The integrated graphics should be find and it would save $60.

Are you sure you can run two monitors off an iGPU? I'm sure they're powerful enough but is it even possible? I've only seen mobos with one HDMI, how would I even hook two up?

No rendering. Light photo editing. The only reason for the GPU is because they need two monitors. I'm not positive if you can run two monitors from an iGPU.

iGPUs can support multi-monitor systems - some newer ones can support three at reasonable resolutions.

Really, you don't need to run both monitors off of hdmi only. quite a lot of motherboards have alternate ports such as vga, display-port, or dvi-d that work

Yes. I ran my HD4600 iGPU on two monitors for several months. One plugged into HDMI, the other into DVI.

Unless there is a need to use optical media in the workflow, a CD/DVD drive is not needed.

You might consider an Intel i3 system. With its iGPU that can run 3 monitors there are fewer parts in the build. The motherboard in this build has VGA, DVI, HDMI, and DP ports. The more powerful cores Intel cores will actually provide better performance in photo editing.

For the small difference in price, a full version of Windows 10 has the advantage of portability.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
