Hey there! I own two mechanical keyboards; Razer BlackWidow TE and an Asus Strix Pro Gaming or whatever other words they tack onto it.

My issue is that the Razer one (my usual keyboard) is slightly not responding in games. Mostly with the WASD keys, if I alternate between A and D quickly then my character just doesn't register, even if I bottom-out the key. If I press it a tad harder after bottoming-out, it registers, but it's getting worse. The same thing happens with my W key. Sometimes it also works and then doesn't rapidly several times per second, resulting in stuttered moving. It has the Razer green switches, akin to MX blues.

Now, I'm looking for a new keyboard. I'm fine with all switches, but I press on my keyboard pretty hard and pretty fast. This is where my problem with my Strix Pro lies, and with MX Browns. When typing, sometimes it registers two keypresses, resulting in typing somewhat akin to "Super duperr incredible brro", which is infuriating. MX Browns are just a tad too heavy for my fingers as well. This might be because I bottom-out on every keypress, but moving on:

Is this just a problem with my keyboard, or do all MX Browns behave this way? For a heavy-hitter like myself, I'd just like a durable keyboard that can take heavy typing without breaking or registering keys wrong. Something akin to MX Blues would be sweet, though the clicky sound isn't exactly a necessity.

So, I'm taking recommendations given all of this? I'm looking at the Corsair K95 RGB Platinum but I dunno if the switches are flimsy or if a heavy press would just indicate two presses, etc. etc.

Thanks in advance bois!

Typing two characters can be your fault or the keyboard's. Not all Browns do that. All MX Browns are the exact same. Browns are actually lighter than Blues so I don't know how those are too heavy for you.

I mean, I use Razer Green switches which definitely feel lighter than Browns. I've spent most of my upbringing technologically on laptops, so I'm pretty used to shallow and small keys and bottoming them out. Which is why something as heavy and rigid as a Brown switch feels unnatural to me, so I guess the click of the Blues and Greens lets me know I pressed the key and I stop applying force then?

Right, so I guess I'd be looking for MX Blues and such then? Any recommendations for those would be sweet, albeit I'll take no suggestions for any Razer product. 5/5 Razer products broke within a few months of my owning them, so I'm just going to avoid them from now on.

I only have decent Logitech options right now, but I could potentially order and get something from Corsair. I have the Logitech G502 and have had it for more than a year, it's far far more than satisfactory and I don't think Logitech'd fail me though.
