Thank you for letting this contest be so open! At the time being, the laptop runs worse than my brother's Xbox 360, so it would be fun to finally play any game I want with my friends! The specs of the "rig" include the Samsung SyncMaster BX2250 I got from my mom, a g303, a basic qck mousepad, a set of harman Kardon hk206 speakers, and a hp m8 envy notebook that has an a10-4600m APU running at 2.3 ghz, 6 gigs of system memory, and 750 gigs of storage filled halfway with games I can't play, memes, and programs. Hello. My PC needs an upgrade. Desperately.

 

Story:

I was running a raspberry pi b+ as a personal computer for a while. I wanted an upgrade, something I could call my own that could play youtube. I found an OptiPlex 780 SFF on eBay on auction. I persuaded my mom to bid, and we won for 60 something dollars. I got the PC, realizing that it had a DVI port on it's only crappy video card. I had to run the PC without a video card for 2 weeks until I got a converter. Even with the graphics card, the PC still couldn't run games like Minecraft at a stable 60fps. Unturned was unplayable at 1080p. The Cinebench score was 1.51. I need an upgrade.

  Here is some back story on the computer... Got it in 2012 and first played Nether and DS1 at 10-15 Fps on the default system. I Craved MORE! So I upgraded my ram to 8Gb then 16Gb (Mostly for MC :D) I still couldn't play any of the game I wanted on a stable FPS, Games like... ARMA 3, DAYZ, OVERWATCH. So I finally got a job at 17 in 2016 and bought a GTX 1060... The GTX 1060 didn't actually fit in the case so I had to bend some metal which I have a picture of.. Couldn't really use the case, so I looked for a better one for future upgrades.. Linus Tech Tips to the rescue with their Cooler master case review thingy. After I got that I thought I would do more upgrading but college has depleted the fund. Although I don't have the money to spend more into my PC I still love to game on my computer and do server work. Watching Linus Tech Tips has actually helped me understand more about computers and what really gets them to work inside and out. I'm a tinkering person myself so when it came time to find a new hoppy I looked towards computers and servers. A fun fact is that the +500GB hard drive in my computer I didn't buy but rather disassembled from an external hard drive. Even if I don't win it was still fun making the video and explaining my story.

Well here is my beautiful laptop i barely know what it is, all i know is its an HP i think about 5 or more years older. I only play league of legends and barely at that i get about 10 fps in game, ive tried other games woth my friends like rocket league and divinity: original sin. None of which work. Also if i have any more than one thong open at a time even something as simple as word or a browser page open my laptop basically shuts down.

Here it is. My beautiful amazing (well under par) "gaming" machine. It was cheap (and fun) to build and technically not even mine. So I definitely need a new one before my friend decides to take this thing back. Other than this thing I have an old laptop I used to game on.

In CS:GO I average about 40-60 fps

In Battlefield 1 I average about 15-20 fps

In DOOM 2016 I average about 30-50 fps and so on

and this is all at 1600x900 not even full 1080p. (All on the lowest settings)

I would mostly need a PC like the ROGRigReboot machine because I am a content creator and a student trying to get into film making. It's something I enjoy thoroughly and I would hate to have to give it up due to being dirt poor and not being able to make content efficiently.
