Corsair - Vengeance LPX with ryzen is it working yet

I'm starting to buy parts for my new pc, i have checked compatibility and its seems good. However some people online have said that the ram i am getting might not hit the 3000mhz it is rated at. I am not sure if these posts are outdated and if bios updates have fixed it since then. Hopefully someone can clear this up for me. :)

parts:

ryzen 7 1700

Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 Vengeance LPX 16 GB

ASUS PRIME X370-PRO

Thanks in advance :D

Depends on the module. For example, I have the 3000C16 2x4GB and with latest bios I can run it at 2933. The next step up of 3066 boots but unstable. Maybe some settings tinkering could stabilise it but I left it at 2933. Note it wont be easy to hit 3000 exactly due to the multipliers involved.

Well you have 3 options 2933, 2997 or 3066. Over time I have ran all 3. On the latest BIOS I can run stable 3066, around launch-april I ran 2933 and since a beta BIOS I flashed in April I have ran 2997, Until very recently (<1 month) at 3066.

EDIT: 2997 requires a BCLK overclock yes

I've been able to run those rated speeds since the June BIOS update for my MSI x370 Carbon Pro. I'm using the built in AMD XMP profile #2.

I don't have to, A-XMP does it for me, whether I'm OC or not.
