So I want to move to Ryzen and start ocing but not spending too much dinero. I know that you need a B350 motherboard to oc on Ryzen but i've come across AB350 mobo for the $60 range, which are ther a or b and can I do light ocing with them? Twenty dollars means alot at this price range when I need to buy new ram that can be a large part of my build cost.

The 1200 is the same thing as a 1300x after OC, same goes to the 1400 and 1500x.

Best CPU in the line up would be the 1600 but any Ryzen processor is very solid purchase especially compared to current Intel offerings.

I think a 1600 is overkill for a 1050ti

Yes, a 1400 is more than plenty, your gaming will never have stuttering, it'll be very good.

Yes the AB350 OCs very nicely, I have it. If you're ONLY gaming then go with 1400, if going to use for encoding/recoding, content creation or whatever or heavy multi-tasking then go for the 1600 for the extra cores and threads.

Not really, if it's for gaming then ryzen 3 isn't any different than the Pentium because of ccx latency, quad r5s most likely won't perform better than i5s even when 8 threads becomethe minimum (because of the same reason), hexa core ryzen won't have that much problems because it has 3 cores per ccx, hovewer even it won't perform well when hexa cores become the minimum (so it's a strange situation, it will definitely perform better than other ryzens, but not when it becomes the standard).Zen simply isn't an architecture for gamers and this is the reason why coffee lake might demolish ryzen.

I've waited on ass since Sandybridge because ever year people told me Haswell was gonna smoke Ivy Bridge dont upgrade yet or Kaby Lake will make you wish you had not bought Skylake; I've let new tech like pci3,sata3,ddr4 pass by waiting not to get burned, I think for $200 a new Ryzen is about as good as I need.

Also more PCIe lanes.

But Ryzen hits a wall around 4GHz no mattery what you do, and it's really not a matter of being held back by the power delivery.

SFF-ish:  Ryzen 5 1600X, Asrock AB350M Pro4, 16GB Corsair LPX 3200, Sapphire R9 Fury Nitro -75mV, 512gb Plextor Nvme m.2, 512gb Sandisk SATA m.2, Cryorig H7, stuffed into an Inwin 301 with rgb front panel mod.  LG27UD58.

Aging Workhorse:  Phenom II X6 1090T Black (4GHz #Yolo), 16GB Corsair XMS 1333, RX 470 Red Devil 4gb (Sold for $330 to Cryptominers), HD6850 1gb, Hilariously overkill Asus Crosshair V, 240gb Sandisk SSD Plus, 4TB's worth of mechanical drives, and a bunch of water/glycol.  Coming soon:  Bykski CPU block, whatever cheap Polaris 10 GPU I can get once miners start unloading them.

MintyFreshMedia:  Thinkserver TS130 with i3-3220, 4gb ecc ram, 120GB Toshiba/OCZ SSD booting Linux Mint XFCE, 2TB Hitachi Ultrastar.  In Progress:  3D printed drive mounts, 4 2TB ultrastars in RAID 5.
