Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm planning on building my first gaming pc and i have run my self into a bit of a problem.

My budget is around 600-700 euros but prices vary all the time. I live in Finland but my plan is to order the parts from Germany to save some money.

I allready have all the peripheals i need so i can leave them out of the budget.

At the moment i have couple of options in the cpu/gpu combo:

-Pentium G4560 & Gtx 1060 6gb

-Ryzen 3 1200 & Gtx 1060 6gb

-Core i5-7400 & Gtx 1060 3gb

If you have other suggestions please dont hesitate to bring the up.

And just to clarify a little, the point is not to fit maximum amount of hardware in to the budget but to get the most "bang for my buck" for smooth high settings 1080p 60fps gaming.

If gaming is the main/only purpose, Pentium G4560 & Gtx 1060 6gb is the best bang for your buck (provided you buy it for MSRP). GamersNexus made a video finding the bottleneck for the G4560, and it shouldn't bottleneck the 1060 6gb.

However, if you can't find the G4560 or it's more expensive than it should be, I'd get the R3 1200 and the 1060 6gb.

I'd suggest you a better CPU and a less expensive GPU. More likely a 1500x paired with a 1050ti. You'll be able to play most of AAA titles on high and some on medium xD.

 || CPU: Intel i5-8600K || Cooler: CoolerMaster Hyper 212X || Motherboard: Gigabyte Z370 HD3P || GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1050ti OC Windforce 4GB || Memory: 16GB Crucial DDR4 3000mhz || HDD: WD Black 500GB + Seagate Barracuda 2TB || SSD: Samsung 980 1TB || PSU: Corsair VS550 || Case: nJoy Ice Cage || Fans: Segotep Halo Ring RGB ||Monitor: 2x Dell 27" P2717H IPS Full HD || Second Monitor/TV: LG 49UJ620V UHD || Mouse: Logitech G502 || Keyboard: Logitech G810 + Royal Kludge RK84 || Speakers: Philips SPA-5300 subw + Arylic 2.1 + DIY Bookshelves w/ Dayton Audio || Headphones: HyperX Cloud Flight S ||

Yes gaming is the main purpose but i'm still worried that the pentium might run into some issues in more cpu intensive games.

I could buy the pentium for around 65 euros so it would be very cost effective.

i'd say get the Ryzen 3 1200 and GTX 1060. it's the best one there and will provide the best performance at a fairly cheap cost.

I'd go with the best ryzen cpu you can afford with a 1060 (the 3gb should be enough for 1080p gaming IMO)

Gaming rig : i5 6600k | EVGA 1070 FTW | 16Go DDR4 HyperX Fury | Intel 600p - WD Black

Laptop : Macbook 2017

Home server : AMD A10 7700k | 2*2TB unraid array + 250GB ssd cache

Even if the pentium won't bottleneck your gpu, it'll always be better to have a 4 core/4 threads cpu instead of a 2 core/4 threads one

And as bonus, you can overclock every ryzen cpu out of the box if yu have a compatible motherboard

Gaming rig : i5 6600k | EVGA 1070 FTW | 16Go DDR4 HyperX Fury | Intel 600p - WD Black

Laptop : Macbook 2017

Home server : AMD A10 7700k | 2*2TB unraid array + 250GB ssd cache
