Hey guys I'm planning on upgrading my graphics card within the next week and I was wondering how big of a performance difference there is between the 670 in 760.

Currently a 670 is $199.99 after rebate on newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121707 and 760s are around $240 after rebate.

Is it worth getting a 670 even though it is a little older but $40 cheaper?

Thanks in advance.

RIP in pepperonis m8s

i would say 760 for the newer architecture, also better power management

The 760 is a rebranded 670. Get what ever is cheaper.

The 760 is a rebrand OEM 660 Not a 670 so the 670 should perform better in theory.

Did you even check the specs? Obviously you haven't.

Depends on what cooler and what reinforcement is implemented.

GTX670:                                                                  GTX760:
1344 Cuda Cores                                                     1152 Cuda Cores
Texutre fill rate: 102.5                                                 Texture fill rate: 94.1

Go with the GTX670 it's faster and with OC it's faster then a GTX680 and if you have luck even faster then a GTX680OC.

In your case I would try to get, if it has to be nVidia, the GTX 670, because you seem to be very interested in a performance per dollar rate, and the card is going to fulfill your needs :) .

It is a rebrand sue to the SAME chip. Just has disabled cores. Don't just attack people .

That's not a rebrand they are complete diffrent cards.

Only because the chip is the same doesn't make it a rebrand.

The GTX770 is a GTX680 rebrand with higher clock, but the GTX760 is not a rebrand of the GTX670.

Before you give somebody advice you should check the specs.
