USB passthrough on Corsair strafe

Long story short, I am rewiring my computer and cables on my desk and was curious if there would be any performance loss if I wired my mouse into the pass through on the strafe keyboard instead of the motherboard?

There might be, but not enough for any human to notice.

Technically adding length will add latency.

 

However it's so small it would require you to be able to see the scanline on a CRT monitor to notice.

If just adding length I doubt even a crt would allow you to tell. Electricity is pretty darn fast.

Read what I said until you understand it lol. I was saying that one would not even be able to tell the difference even if able to see the scan line of a crt because the scan line of a crt does not move anywhere near the speed of electricity (which moves at a good fraction of the speed of light). And this is ignoring the fact that that crt is only refeshing at 60Hz or maybe 240Hz best scenario, no where near what would be required to measure the addition of tens of picoseconds of latency.

You won't see any noticeable performance drop in utilizing the USB pass through on our keyboards, or other devices.  A lot of our gaming displays at trade shows utilize daisy chaining our peripherals (K95 Platinum -> MM800 -> Scimitar Pro) as well.
