I've dropped my phones plenty of times, but since they're cheap androids with plastic screens they don't ever break. People can say that plastic screens don't feel "premium" all they want, but when I can literally chuck my phone as hard as I want and the screen doesn't break- well I would call that premium.

My sister is extremely clumsy. Love her to bits, but she's an accident waiting to happen. She called me to come fix her laptop once. I get to her house, and the thing is in pieces. I asked what happened. She was vacuuming and got tangled in the power cord, and it fell  off her desk on to a tile floor. She's had to replace at least 5 phones that I'm aware of. I don't even ask "what happened" anymore. I just try to repair the damage.  :x

Best Excuses:

#1(simple) "Well, I never liked that stupid thing anyway!"

#2(complex) "Obviously there was a flaw in the material, probably due to the inadvertent introduction of contaminants during the manufacturing process."

I've dropped my S7 three times, it's fine, btw.

First time I was phoning someone and it was cold outside so my hands were numb, so it gradually just slipped out of my hand (the S7 is unbelievably slippy).

Second time someone was messing around and crashed into me so I dropped it.

Third time it fell out my trouser pocket while I was sitting down. (pockets on the trousers were incredibly wide, so it fell out easily)

I feel like this thread should be more "How do people drop their phones FREQUENTLY enough to break them?"

Everyone drops something if they don't have a proper grip on it. I've dropped mine a few times because of that reason and well, there is a reason you buy a $20-$50 case for a $400+ phone.

People are careless. I have yet to break a phone in like 15 years of owning one.

I totally understand how it may happen once or twice to a person in an unfortunate accident but I know people who get new phones every two years and I have yet to see them not have a cracked screen. It's the same kind of people who break laptops by sitting on them or lose their keys every day. They just don't pay attention or don't value their stuff/money and do careless things. Then there's the people who inexplicably never get cases for their phones and then claim their phone is poor quality and doesn't hold up.

Just be happy that you're not that kind of person. I've only had two phones in the last 6 years and only upgraded due to planned obsolescence with OS upgrades (I still use the old one as an ipod, GPS device, and mini hardware monitor screen for my PC). I even just replaced the battery in my iPhone 5s for $19 and it should last me at least another 3 years now (even gave me another 200mAh over the stock one). Being careful saves a lot of money which you can use for other more interesting things you want/need.

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Spoiler

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.

Only times I've ever dropped my phone were when a friend accidentally knocked it out of my hand, and when I foolishly tried to pick my phone up by holding the power cable attached to it.

My brother went through 5 phones in 3 years because he keeps breaking them, I don't even.

I had dropped my old iPhone 5s (currently using a SE) on my iPad Air and the funny thing is my iPad was fine with no damage but there was a tiny scratch on my 5s screen.    My iPad hurt my iPhone.  lol

You've never dropped your phone.

Except for that time that you dropped your phone.

So, after dropping your phone after not holding your own securely, you still can't understand how phones get dropped?

I'm quoting you because I feel like the above incident I shared will amuse you.

I never had a collision with another vehicle while driving. So I don't understand how people get into collisions.

(Note the above is meant to put the spirit of OP's question in another example to stir a thought process. Hopefully)

OP's logic doesn't entirely add up does it?

Though it isn't the first time someone ever said "I don't understand why people do X".

I have a $10-15 plastic Sailor Moon case on my iPhone SE.  I consider myself decently careful with my phone so I hope I'm ok.

I've dropped my phone only once onto a concrete floor. Had a butterfingers moment at that time.

But fortunately I had a nice case and a nice screen protector on it, so no damage apart from some scuffs on the case.
