I was looking through micro center's website and I found this; the i3 7350k for $130. While people were kinda hating on the processor originally due to the price-point, I think it's a pretty good deal now. It's also $150 on Amazon. What do you guys think? To put that in perspective, the i3 7100 is $115 on Amazon and $120 at Microcenter.

Those are extinct i believe.

i5 6600k and GTX 1070 but I play 1600-900. 1440p BABY!

Still, don't put too much faith in my buying decisions. xD

Yeah he would, but for the same price he could get Ryzen which would be better

Depends. If he's looking to upgrade his current set up, then it'd be a huge amount more.

Also the cheapest Ryzen processor is still $30 more than this one. For those at that end of the budget spectrum, it likely matters.

They're still around, they just seem to be more expensive than they used to be.

NOOOPE nope nope.

That's a huge no-no.

Don't even bother with it.

Get the G4560, or wait for ryzen 3, or go ryzen 5 with a B350 board if you care about overclocking.

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

The Pentium doesn't have hyperthreading though, and the single threaded performance of the i3 7350k is better.  Also until ryzen 3 comes out, the cheapest ryzen processor is the 1400 at $160, and is comparatively worse at gaming.

the G4560 does have hyperthreading, in fact.

I Forgot about that :),  But the performance of it is still worse. I'm just saying that for $10 more than the 7100, you get a higher base frequency and overclocking support.
