Two big green lines down the screen

So my freinds PC has a two thick green lines on his display i know his gpu is fine because im currently using it in my rig to post this.

 

Any thoughts

I would unplug the machine from the wall and re-seat the graphics card first

Does this issue occur with anything plugged into monitor or just this system? 

Tried different cables on his monitor?

Tryed it on my monitor and his both the same issue

Try using integrated graphics if that's available. Do it on both yours and your friend's computer. If it works, it's very likely a faulty GPU.

If you are using dvi or vga it could just be a dodgy cable/connection.  Other than that his monitor is probably gumped.  Try it on a different pc or plug a dvd player into.
