alienmer

Hi guys! I'm thinking of an upgrade for my laptop :D
Can you guys recommend an SSD with the ff:
-2.5" 7mm
Atleast 500GB
150-250$
Gonna replace my 80GB SSD >:(

Would also like to know on how to migrate my OS to the new SSD :)

Thanks in advance everyone!

The 850EVO would be a good option, as for the OS ideally it would be best practice to do a clean install but you can always use a migration software if needed.

Would consider the 850! price is just right too for my budget! Any recommendations for a migration software?

Samsung has their own software that you can use, I've used it before with little trouble.

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

If you wanna cheap up the SanDisk Plus G26 is fairly decent 480gb budget option.

As for software, I've used AcronisTrueImage and had no problems. Look at HDClone and AOMEI Backupper as well.
