If you have seen from my earlier posts. My PC is broken. I have tested almost all my parts but the mobo or CPU. When I boot my system and launch a program my PC immediately shuts down. I'm very sure my CPU isn't the issue and I wanna send my Motherboard to RMA but does anyone know how to do this in the UK

My specs

i7 6700

4 Sticks of 4GB DDR4 2133

Gigabyte B150M DS3H

WD 1TB Blue Hard Drive

Corsair RM 550X PSU

Gigabyte's European RMA center is in Germany, so shipping and handling may take a bit.

Otherwise you can contact the store that you bought the things at,maybe they can deal with the RMA or possibly come up with a solution.

I had bought my parts of Amazon, shall I contact the seller from there (the seller was most likely Gigabyte themselves)

I have a gigabyte GPU and when it broke I contacted the place where I got it from, Lambdatek, and they said to send it to them and they fixed it.

So I suggest you to contact Amazon and see what they would say about the RMA

Ah thanks. I'm gonna try one more time to see if my PC works if not I'll just contact Amazon

I thought in the UK the retailer had to deal with all warranty claims? Its part of the sales of goods act or something. I only know because I worked for an online retailer before on a help desk and all the UK people used to quote that law.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Yes, definitely contact Amazon first and probably send it to them. Just google Amazon warranty UK or something.

I personally would not send it to Gigabyte. They are slow and not your seller.

Contact the seller there and if it really is a faulty board you could always contact Amazon and see if they can enforce something from the seller.

As I understand it, under UK law your contract is with the seller not the manufacturer when it comes to faults. Sometimes they may say to go direct as it can be quicker (so your device doesn't go from you-supplier-manufacturer-supplier-you) but if you really want to they should take it and deal with the fault. As I understand it ;)

Most items have at least a one year warranty. Some components like hard drives and such have a few years worth of warranty.
