So I recently made a backplate for my GTX 1050ti FTW.

It broke.

It was already cracked and I wanted something different.

I made this. It's a short video demonstration, not a tutorial. I managed to get the EVGA logo on my GTX 950 FTW's backplate not only onto my 1050ti but I also made it light up.

The LEDs are actually RGB LEDs but the GB parts aren't connected.

UPDATE JULY 12 2017

Well that didn't last long.

For starters I didn't like the red LEDs. I like red and blue (obviously) and my power solution was also garbage.

I redid the whole thing. Took the backplate off, took the LEDs off, and put new ones on.

The new LEDs came from the LED fans that came with my 240mm AiO. The ones in my rig were already there. The fans that I took the LEDs out of had a really cheap LED strip with like 13 LEDs so I can do this with other parts of my GPU like behind the cooling fins.

My next move is to make the fans red LED fans. New video coming as well.

It wasn't a terrible idea. It was just poorly executed. I'll be making another one later. The problem with the last one was that I screwed it on too tight and I cracked it. Completely my fault for not making the screw holes large enough.

I picked up my 1070 for $320 so I cant really complain. In fact when I saw this price, I just verified that it doesnt use a blower cooler, then contact the seller. It's when I got my hands on the card and powered it on till I realize this card has no features. There's only 1 LED at the back of the PCB, showing that the 8pin gives power. That's it. No fan-stop f(x), no RGB, no factory OC, no backplate. It has custom PCB, which means no waterblock will fit on it.

Reading your sig I think you should get more RAM.

The H81M only has 2 RAM slots, I've got an H77, which is almost the same and I've got 12GB of RAM (1x Avexir 8GB and 1x Corsair 4GB)

Things of mine have a tendency to break. I'm sure you've noticed.
