TS3 / File Server

Im looking to replace my current "server" with something that uses less power , and is generally smaller , ( m-ITX ) . 

Already have a case , aChieftec BT-02B with an SFX 300W PSU . 

 

Question is , what hardware / software would be best suited for this ? I was planning to run Ubuntu Server , then TS3 Server off of it . Not too hard to setup , and should work on pretty much aynthing . 

 

Now , hardware side , i was looking at Intel Atom boards , but those seem quite expensive , even used ones . What would be a possible alternative ?

There are AMD boards with APUs. They should be enough for that purpose.

The Sempron APUs ?

for Example :

 

Biostar A68N-5545 with an AMD A8-5545

Biostar A68N-5745 with an AMD A10 

or boards having an A4-5000, or E-350

 

should all be good for simple file services as well as TS3 Server
