i7-7700k Temp Spikes

Anyone having the same issue as me? I've been getting temp spikes on my i7-7700k @ 4.2 GHz no OC im started to worry because my fans rev up to 100% every now and then, this is at idle. The temp ranges from 30C to 60C through out all 4 cores the spikes happen very fast like in matter of seconds, should i RMA my new i7?

Using a Asus Strix Z270E Motherboard and NZXT Kraken x52 Watercooler

TIM itself is great. They just used too much adhesive ... that black glue.

Unfortunately this is "normal" behaviour for the 7700k. It had something to do with the TIM, but I'm sure there's someone who knows more about that than me. Happens to me as well, nothing to worry about though.

Once again ... it's not the TIM itself.

There is black glue around your CPU die, that's holding IHS to it. Intel is using too much of that adhesive, so CPU die isn't contacting IHS as it should.

You can delid it and use same TIM inside, and you will get better results. Because you would be scraping away that black adhesive and CPU die can touch IHS better.
