Converting Xbox/PlayStation to pc

My friend wants to get a pc badly and he currently doesn't have the money to buy one. He owns a PS4 and thought well can I turn it into a pc well I don't have a PS4 of my own to screw up on and I was wanting to know if you guys might have the awnswer is it possible to have a hard drive all ready installed with windows swap it out  with the one in the PS4 and work or would that require being able to go into the bios and making something bootable?

You really can't change the OS on consoles because the OS is strictly bound to the hardware and do you have an old laptop that you could donate to him that is decent or wait till Black Friday for really cheap PC parts

theoretically, you can run Linux, it's more for show rather than actual use.

Drivers don't exist for well anything.But you can plug in a mouse and a keyboard and use the browser or buy a cheap 100 dollar thinkpad

Yes you can't people have made some in Xbox one chassis

There's this service one can do to get money. It involves exchanging your time to complete tasks for roughly 8hrs a day, 5 days out of the week and around Friday's you get money. Pretty wild, I think doing that would definitely help!

Another problem is that the ps4 uses an APU meaning that Sony probably didn't add any way to put a graphics card. The APU is also probably soldered to the board.

Curious to why your friend wants a PC so badly? If it were for gaming, they'd better off with the PS4 thank it being hacked into a PC.

You might as well keep the console in its own os as the only reason it performs that good is optimization. If your friend really wants to play with mouse and keyboard use a keymander or something like that.

There's another service which gives money out more often, but requires giving something for really bad value in return.

Free online. As in you don't have to pay to play online. Like for Xbox live or ps plus. He's not talking about pirating.
