I had this problem when:

I had x2 HDD in Raid 0 and I got a new SSD. I have installed fresh windows on the SSD and everything worked perfectly.

One day my laptop HDD died and I thought I will take out one of the raid 0 drives and put it in the laptop since I have windows on SSD on the big machine anyway. So I destroyed raid 0 and suddenly Windows won't boot on the main machine (Which meant to load from SSD and in my mind it had nothing to do with the Raid 0 drives). After long ass research, I came to a conclusion that since raid 0 HHDs were present when I installed Windows to SSD some bootload files got also placed on Raid 0, even tho I selected install windows on SSD. So when I destroyed raid 0 I also destroyed some files which caused windows to run into problems.

Solution - reinstall windows because repair didn't help.

why do people want to install kali if they can't manage to fix their own mess? Kali isn't a daily-use distro, it's for pentesters who know what they're doing.

no official course would ask you to install kali on a desktop pc (in some cases neither a laptop), it would have asked to install it on a VM or a Live USB.

just FYI

I found only "Ethical Hacking using Kali Linux from A to Z", the only result with the name you provided was a reupload on archive.org lol

because networking is much easier that way when compared to a VM (said by the instructor :P idks)

yeah the instructor should not have said that IMO, not because of simplicity, but because you have to understand networking and learn how to deal with it when using kali.

friendly reminder: I'm not criticizing you, I'm just a curious guy
