How much should I pay for a used 980Ti?

So I've been thinking about trying out a higher-end Nvidia card (mostly an AMD user), and so I went to hunt around for some 980Ti's, but they seem a bit overpriced. Should I be paying $350-ish for a 980Ti? Seems like the 1070 isn't much more, performs similarly, but uses significantly less powerful. It also seems like miners are driving up the price, as apparently Nvidia cards are better for mining than they used to be...

If I were able to get a 980Ti for ~$300, should I jump on it? Or should I just make the leap to a 1070?

Depends on your local pricing difference and what model of each they are. Even with higher power, a 980Ti with good after market cooler is still quieter than a 1070 FE for example.

Around $350 is probably a decent price for a brand new 980Ti since the 1070s are going for $400+ but if you can get a 980Ti for around $300 I'd definitely jump on it, no point paying $100 more for a little bit more power.

definitely under 350. anything more than that might as well get a 1070 with a solid after market cooler.

Right now a 980ti for 350$ is a great deal, the 1070 is going for 459$ and it is an inferior card on every thing but power efficiency.

getting a 1070 at the moment is out of the question. too expensive. just get a 980ti and overclock it

keep an eye out on amazon. I literally just saw this 1070 for 396 with 20 rebate. Waited 5 min and it was gone. Seems like the nvidia website has them for 399.99
