Which card should I get?

Zadkielle

So, I'm deciding between a EVGA gtx 1050ti or a gtx 1060 3gb, Ik, simple answer, but the thing is this is just a temporary solution since I plan on getting a whole new system and probs a 1080 or 1080ti within the next 6 months, that's why I wanna know which is the best card to get right now as for a meanwhile solution, also one that I can sell later and at what price should I expect the card to be worth since we have all the cryptomining bs going on right now. :)

I'd look into a used 970 or 980. These should be a bit more powerful around the same cost as those newer cards.

Should have bought a RX 480 2 months ago could have paid for your GTX 1080. More on topic, do you currently have a card?

Oh yeah i agree with this guy, and GTX 970 contains 4GB of VRAM, should be fine for most games

GTX 970 wouldn't be a bad card. I mean I ran 4k on it on low settings.

and i know :C I was a bit late for the rx480 craze, but whatevs

I was just about to recommend an 780. That card is better than a 970. But that uses an obsurd amount of power. That 350 watt seems that will influence your decision.

I guess yeah it can work but i am upgrading from 300W to 550W just to make sure i am having room with Q8400 and GTX 970.

try more like $170 on a good day. I'd expect sub 200.

EDIT: This is used ofc. I wouldn't buy something new if you are just going to turn it around.

Well I'll be trying to find one, since there's not many near me I try looking for deals more than often, but I shall try to look for a 970.
on other note is it really worth to put that much money into a card I'll just use for the next 6 months?

Would you rather integrated? Remember you'll prob need a better power supply to use the 970 also.

I'd shy away from a 970 with 300w power supply but you'd be fine if you used the 550w. @Ordinarily_Greater

I am reliefed, thanks!
