does it have to work? you can just buy some really good audiophile headset and then chop off the wire. WIRELESS

For $160, I believe THESE will be the best headset for the price. They aren't $160 but $125, saving you money.

 

EDIT: That was the wrong link, and they were not wireless. It's hard to find a really good wireless headset. If  you went wired get THESE

You can get decent headphones for that price

Keep in mind that wireless headset/phones wont be as good as normal ones. You may get interference or sometimes buzzing noise. This dont come from personal experience, but my friend had those kind of problems. Also on audio forums they also tend to go with wired ones for cleaner audio. Better go with a headphones and a zalman mic (or a snowflake)

If you must then I guess the corsair vengeance 2100 are not too bad. I have the vengeance 2000 and the sound quality is meh and are made of cheap plastic but the mic is great and that is all I use them for. If you want good sound quality get good wired headphones such as Sennheiser hd 558 or something like that.

I used the Vengeance 2000 and they are pretty decent. I got a wireless headset so I could actually get up and move around. I've pulled out cables, and knocked over a few things on my desk, from forgetting to take off a pair of wired headsets before getting up.

That is something you won't get from any wireless headset or wired (headset) for under $160.

 

Excellent mic quality comes from a standalone microphone or one of this really tiny ass headsets that cost hundreds of dollars for some reason and look like wire.

 

You can get good mics on headsets but if you're looking for some professional sounding stuff, it's not coming on a headset.
