Time for a new phone

What's a good Android phone to replace my s6 edge with (don't like the edge stop phones)

 

Process range idk I'll probably get it used anyways because im cheap

 

Needs a good camera and to handle modern apps 

 

Needs to work with T-Mobile

Personally I'm waiting for the Pixel 2, but that's still a few months away so...

Budget is whatever I'll find the cheapest way to get it. I got my s6 used for 150 once the S7 came out

Yeah, I'm an Apple fanboy, but I still like other phones and like to mess with them. You don't have to be a fanboy to use a companies products. Even if you don't like Apple, they still make solid, well performing phones near the price of other flagship phones.

For me, it's the stock android experience and timely software updates. I'm absolute sick of waiting for software updates on my OP2. It wasn't until May 2016 that I got Marshmallow, a full 7 months after nexus devices got it. It's getting close to July and Nougat still isn't anywhere in sight.

 

I also don't want a bloated phone, and the lag and stutter that I occasionally encounter on my OP2 (particularly noticeable is the lag I get when typing in the messages app) is just annoying.

 

I also want to keep my next phone until I graduate high school, which would be about 4 years. So I want something with software updates for as long as possible. Pixel 2 will probably only get it for 3 years though, but I think I can live 1 year without em, or I'll just flash a custom rom.

 

You might say, "Get an iPhone!" There are just some aspects of iOS that I don't like as much as android. It's just more customizable. The little toggle things that appear when you pull down the notification shade is super useful. I prefer the three buttons to the one, by far. The fact that in iOS apps have to be ordered and can't be anywhere is super annoying. I like the app drawer since I don't have to stuff everything on the home screen. There's just so much more you can do with android (set default apps for like everything, custom launchers if you want em, being able to actually download stuff with the browser is nice). I've tried iOS and it's a great os, but it doesn't suit me. I recognize that it suits other people well, but it doesn't suit me.

OP5 would probably be a good choice then since it's a lot cheaper than other flagships.

You should see how much I have in iTunes and the App Store. (Although iTunes doesn't matter since you can literally just drag and drop iTunes files anywhere.)

I found out a long time ago that;s it;s cheaper to pay 9.99 for google play music then like 50 a month for albums

I dont like subscription music. 

 

Buying individual songs or albums (in my case on iTunes) is better imo because you pay for what you listen to, and you can burn to CDs or upload onto a server/cloud service or even a USB drive to get them on devices that dont sync to iTunes.

Not close mided, I've used them all my life in school and college and never liked them from desktops to laptops to iPads. Just is what it is. Not everyone likes everything.
