All this RGB stuff is totally unnecessary and a waste of money. Rather than investing in overpriced cases and mobos, getting a better cpu and ram.

This one is pretty great. Best parts you can get for that budget.

The Taichi is the best X370 available right now in terms of stabilty, OC and updates... Its worth the extra you pay.

I wouldn't say RGB is completely unnecessary.  I mean, I agree with you on the RAM.  I think money would be better spent on less flashy 32GB rather than sacrifing half of that for some fancy lighting.

The CPU, I think, is ok.  If you can achieve a good OC on the 1700 (as close to 4ghz as you can get), it performs really close to the 1800X, even better than the 1700X in some benchmarks that I saw.

The case, however, is where i think you have a little more wiggle room when it comes to form over function.  I don't care what anyone says, that case is beautiful.  And if you care about that sort of thing, you don't mind spending the money on something that you think looks really good.

Stability has never been an issue for the asus x370 as well, so I still don't see the point

TBH the Taichi will get higher, more stable OC's on CPU and memory and what else can you spend money on?  1800X is a waste and the GPU is best on the market.
