FSP HYPER S 700W

KevinK

Hi guys,

I'm going to build a new pc with

Intel i5 7600K

nVidia geforce 1060

MSI Z270 SLI Plus

ADATA DAZZLE LED DDR7 2800MHZ 8GB
BOITIER GIGABYTE XC300W RGB
XTC700 XTREME GAMING CPU COOLER
SEAGATE BARRACUDA 1 TB - 64 MO - 7200 RPM

Is a FSP HYPER S 700W sufficient for overclocking?

That psu is more than enough. The system will use less than 300w under load overclocked, so a 400w will also work fine, and id probably get a smaller psu.

For the system, Id probably also look at getting a ryzen 1600 instead and a ssd.

If you haven't built this yet then be sure to get a Ryzen 1600 and a B350 motherboard rather than the really now value-poor Core i5. Then get at least a 120GB SSD.

The FSP Hyper S is probably fine but you don't need 700W and I'd advise you get something cheaper since even 3 1060s in SLI (not possible, I know, but you get the point) wouldn't consume 700W. The Corsair CX450 would be fine for you.

|PSU Tier List /80 Plus Efficiency| PSU stuff if you need it.
