Super weak Bethesda E3

SammyGoad

So I waited till 1am Eastern standard to watch Bethesda essentially just throw a load of glitter in my face with very little meaty titles. So we are getting two motion controlled vr games(please stop tying this anchor to vr), Fallout 4 and Doom, more crap for Elder Scrolls MMO, an elder scrolls mobile card game( just saying, couldnt those ppl have worked on next real game?) and a paid mods for Skyrim and Fallout (how long until ppl just repost that on nexus or will it have DRM). Dishonored DLC which is fine but not amazing. New Quake which somehow forgot that its an Arena and has jumped on the Overwatch class based shooter bandwagon (does ID have dementia). Really the only two noteworthy game releases are the new Evil Within and Wolfenstein which seems really anemic. In conclusion, momma Bethesda says you have to eat your shitty card games, spinoff mmos and reheated leftovers until she is done with the real meal, honestly I don't know why they ever showed up if they aren't going to actually announce a mainline Fallout or Elderscroll because now everyone goes home with a case of blue balls and a pack of lusty Argonian maid trading cards.

Windows[I5 2500 3.3Ghz-3.7Ghz 4 cores 4 threads][12gbs of Samsung DDR3 1600 Mhz Ram][MSI GTX 1050 TI 4GB OC]

Apple[IPhone SE] [Imac 21.5 dual core 3 Gghz][Time Capsule 3TB]

Linux[Several laptops]

Probably because it's pretty much expected of them at this point. Fans either get angry from them not showing up, or for them not showing them what they can't show. This way, they at least get some advertising from it.

First, wrong section.

Second, I wasn't expecting any new announcements about Fallout or ES considering they are creating an entirely new engine from scratch that won't be ready until 2019.

That was the only thing they showed that was good. The rest was ads for existing games and The Evil Within 2.

Not interested in "card" games, don't know squat about Wolfenstein, don't like/care about Quake, VR can suck my ass and go away now and ESO really has very little to offer.

Bethesda, people like you because you make Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Nothing else really matters.

People act like being disappointed by Bethesda is a new thing.

Bethesda either delivers so hard they surprise the hell out of everyone or they build hype and it ends up just being little party popper.

It was great for me. The conference didn't drag on the way EA's did, it didn't take itself too seriously, and mostly showed interesting games. I'm pretty happy to see more Dishonored 2 content, and Wolfenstein looked great and was presented wonderfully. I would've liked to see something for Prey, but it's probably too early to expect a content announcement.

As long as Fallout and Elder Scrolls games continue to release in the states they always do, it makes no difference to me whether or not Todd Howard even bothers to come into work in the morning. Announce it or not, don't care. I didn't have to sit through another Pip-Boy presentation, if nothing else.

Well they could always just COD it and come out with a a very thin (DLC level) experience on fallout and ES by releasing them every other year.

2017 ES

2018 fallout

2019 ES

etc.

but they are due for another ES

Not going to happen , after skyrim's success the next elder scrolls will be a bigger milk show as they try to get every little bit out of their fans for the stupid and bs things.. so yeah expect a big game and it will probably take a few years for that too..

How dare you.  This was the best E3 from Bethesda ever.  We're getting Skyrim.... ON THE SWITCH.  And we're also getting skyrim... IN VR.  Also Skyrim on N64 when?

Okay... joking aside.  The Skyrim announcements are getting tiresome... it's not exactly too shocking it can run in VR or a Switch... It's been out long enough at this point to have gotten a full priced remake.  Wolfenstein 2 was only shocking in the way it triggered certain groups of people.  Overall it looks damn fun, and I fully intend on playing it.

Otherwise I kinda glossed over it.  Not a huge fan of VR so Fallout, Skyrim, and Doom VR didn't exactly blow me away.
