Hoping for a definitive answer on what a 'safe' 24/7 voltage limit is for the 7700K. I'm currently running at 4.8Ghz at 1.250v fully stable. 4.9 is achievable at 1.3.

Does anyone run their chip beyond 1.3v? Heat is not an issue for me as I have delided my CPU.

Intel chips havent changed for awhile 1.4V is their max so 1.39V is conservative, however with a 7700k you are going to hit a thermal limit before a voltage limit. They get toasty without delids and water cooling.

EDIT: Should learn to read OP

The commonly accepted belief in tech communities is that it is wise to stay under 1.4 V with most Intel processors of the last few architectures. It's generally agreed that after that, failures seem to become much more common and temperatures are often too high for 24/7 use. I know that's not as scientific a reason as you may have been hoping for, but I don't think this question can be accurately answered in that way.

Naturally you still want it to be as low as possible, but I would personally not be uncomfortable with 1.3 V with that CPU as long as temperatures are safe.

Thanks folks.

I think I'll keep my chip at 4.8Ghz/1.25v during summer and afterwards bump it up to 4.9Ghz/~1.3v to keep around 50 degrees during load. Really love low temperatures.
