How much can i sell my build for?

I'm planning to upgrade/sell my PC. Specs:

Cpu: fx8350

Cpu cooler: hyper 212 evo

Gpu: msi r9 290x 4gb

Mobo: msi 970 gaming

Ram: 1*8gb ddr3 corsair vengeance 2400mhz

Psu: corsair vs650

Case: generic ATX + 6  arctic f12 silent fans

should i fully sell it? Upgrade some components? and which ones?

You should upgrade the CPU first.

so that means selling the cpu/mobo/ram to switch over to ryzen or intel with ddr4

well, If you can't get at least $250 you aren't trying, if you want a quick sale maybe conside about 250, if you have a while and want as much as possible consider parting it out,

The R5 1600 already comes with a decent cooler, just wanted to mention this. And get a good PSU, I would recommend the Seasonic S12 II.

You could check out the RX 580.

just upgrade cpu and mobo, the 290x is still a beast.

IF you have a 290x already that 980 will dissapoint if u want to upgrade, its like only 5 fps more. Same with the rx 580, you will probably get like 10 fps at most. I would recommend changing that PSU too in your pcpartpicker, and if u want upgrade from your current build, get at least a 1070 on the GPU side. If I were you just sell your current mobo cpu ram and use that cash for ryzen build and save up for GPU later on
