Nvidia or Amd?

Well guys I am finally planning to buy new pc soon withinthis week,Almost all my parts are decided.

Ryzen 1600x

Asus b350 plus motherboard

Corsair vengeance LPX 8gb @3000mhz(I feel that ram prices are pretty high in my country now so I am sticking with a 8gb itself)

Hyper 212X premium dual fan.

I already have a storage device of 1Tb segate green

 

All I am confused is that should buy an amd or Nvidia graphics ?

 

Though my options are 

RX 570 OR GTX 1060 3GB

 

I would be thankful if anyone can suggest as well justify which one I should take?

If the choice was up to me, I would get the RX 570. Just a bit faster card.

 

Good luck getting one if you're from Europe though. Some stores still have them in store, but if they don't right now I would suggest you first email them to ask how long it will take to get to you.

I thought it was the 580 that traded blows with the 1060, I mean it was the 480 that traded blows with the 1060 and the 570/580's aren't that much of a bump for a 570 to match a 480.

depends where you are in europe, e.g. UK, fuck stores get it online for a £25 discount (minimum)

Yeah, I thought it was 470/570 vs the 1050 Ti.

The RX 580 is not against the 1070

there's two 1060's, the 3GB one being much slower than the 6GB one to the point i dont really even like recommending either, because nvidia seemingly has no sense at all with their naming scheme, why the FUCK isnt the 6GB one the ti?

Maybe it's just mainland Europe. I know Germany and the Netherlands have a hard time keeping stock up and since quite a bit importing of PC hardware happens in Germany I just assumed..

The 470/570 is quite a bit better than the 1050 Ti. Basically it depends on what games we are talking about, to see if Nvidia or AMD has the upper hand.

In games where AMD is liked, the 470/570 is equal to the 1060, in Nvidia preferred games the 1060 is equal to the 480/580.

I think the 6GB has more CUDA cores or something. And more VRAM is always better.

it depends on driver really with the 1060 6GB as far as I remember the two constantly are swapping places, as AMD and Nvidia update the drivers. So yea doesn't matter hugely but it does slightly, the 480/580 are slightly better at the moment though from the looks of it

more VRAM is better if you have a use for it.

 

for example, 8GB vram on a GTX970 would be useless, because even with the 3.5GB thing, its pretty much a matter of "core caps out first" either way.

couldn't remember if that was the case, as I know in the past the diffrence between 2GB and 4GB cards with he same name has been greater with more CUDAs etc. at times

Yeah, I just did some looking at benchmarks comparing the 570 and 1060 3gb, still trades blows, but the 570 seams to win more often and by higher margins.

actually just looked I the 3GB has less CUDAs (1152v1280) so there is slightly less power there (sorry if this sounds nit picky I anit trying to be)

Well I would live to see real world benchmarks,so that I can true differentiate between them. 

On games like CS:GO

Et the 1600 non x and oc it to 4ghz there is no point in the x chips at all.

put the extra money into the gpu and you should be able to get a 6gb 1060

As @jjohnthedon1 said above, get the Ryzen 5 1600, and buy a 1060 / 580. I recommend the 580 as it is superior in benchmarks, especially when using more recent technologies that should be adopted by future games.
