Current rig:

I7 4770k (no OC yet... I want to buy an AIO)

MSI gtx 970

Asrock z97 extreme 4

16gb RAM 1833hz DDR3

NZXT H440

Two ssd's and a hard drive that would be migrated over

I built this thing about a year and a half ago and it was my first pc. Since then I have built Much more computers for friends/familys/clients, and I can say that I made every beginner mistake possible in this old build. Nothing color matches, I have a shitty cpu cooler on a K cpu that I haven't overclocked yet and I got an i7 but I didn't stream (now I stream a lot so long term it was worth it). I am currently with two 1080p monitors and if i upgrade i would go high refresh rate 1440p.

New rig ish (this isn't close to final)

Amd ryzen 1600 OC to 4.0 ghz

AIO, probably one from nzxt

GTX 1070 probably from EVGA

MSI tomahawk

NZXT S340 elite White (this is a white themed build)

idk if i would get a new power supply but probably a fanless one.

What do you think, worth the upgrade? I think that getting a high-quality computer would be amazing and I live and breath computers so much and I recommend things to my friends but I still have something old and filled with mistakes.

Cpu wise I see no reason to change  that ryzen chip will preform the same in games or worse. I'd just use the nvec for steaming.

I'd probably just put your whole budget to a

1080 ti.

How ling would you say until i need a new cpu, maybe in a year or so i will upgrade (think xmas time)

The 2600k is still pretty good so I'd say 3+ years

I dont think i ant to want that long, i think that the next generation of CPU's from amd or intel and then the next generation of GPU's from nvidia will depend what i get.

Like what others said, i7-4770K is still a good thing, though i7-4790K is bit above that i7-4770K.

Either you upgrade that GTX 970 or not that I think you can play smoothly in F1 series I think. I actually need GTX 970 right now

Guys seriously, the GTX 970 is just one generation old, why would you get an upgrade every generation, that's just wasting money
