I disagree, I played WoW on 4G/LTE and it was not chewing much data. The experience is acceptable, but it really depends on the coverage of your area, and on possible congestions. That being said, I would definitely not recommend using a cellular network as a permanent solution. Posted May 27, 2017 Can you? Yes, 4G works perfectly with absolutely no lag, ofcourse that depends on your location and how good your connection Is, but If your connection Is good you will have no problem with a mobile connection at all. Even better on MMOs considering they are much more forgiving than fast paced games like COD. Either way you will have no problem. I saw someone saying that you will burn through data which Is completely false, gaming online uses very little data actually. You can get through a whole month and game every single day for 8+ hours with a 40GB cap. Comes from someone who has a 4G router they bring around with them all the time cause im always on the go. Posted May 27, 2017 My parents live in a city and have an LTE router and you can play on it no probs, but you might be frustrated a bit on shooter games like CS:GO. On MMOs you won't have any problems if you have a strong signal. Although you must understood that sometimes the connection may be lost for a while seemingly without a reason. So there won't be any hardcore raiding for you on this connection. Consider maybe some radio internet if you live outside of town?
 Posted May 28, 2017 I used my phone LTE connection last week to play Overwatch, and it worked perfectly. Experienced no lag. Granted, this was at like 2am so network congestion would be a lot lower than mid-day.
 Posted May 28, 2017 Depending on the time of day and how good the signal is, it's doable. As long as you're only doing this to play the game and not download any patches or whatnot, it shouldn't eat through your data that fast. I have a blog! And a list of guides I've posted
Posted May 28, 2017 It could work pretty well, but as others said that depends on alot of variables On 5/22/2017 at 10:06 AM, lieder1987 said: Also unless you have an unlimited plan you are going to blow through data like it's no one's business. Actually games don't use much bandwith. Speed is the main issue.
Posted May 28, 2017 If my parents are watching every goddamn cat video on facebook at the same time while running youtube in the background, I'll switch over to my phone. My ping is usually 70 ms in OW and 50 in CS. No lag. EDIT: MyISP is Telia Sonera and it's 100Mbit/s 4G. Posted May 28, 2017 it depends on your coverage actually, i play FFXIV (MMORPG) and dota 2 mostly its an ok experience actually, can do raids with no lag and doesnt chew my 4G data quota but it will start lagging and ping increases when it raining , idk why
 Posted May 29, 2017 I used to play Tera Online and Planetside 2 on my 4G LTE connection for the longest time during the slow hours at my work on Saturdays. As long as no background downloads are going, then the connection was generally stable enough for an enjoyable experience. That being said, as long as you have good coverage (the speedtest app should be able to clue you in on that), then you should be ok.
