Hi, I am currently running a pentium g4560 and a gtx 970 and I cant seem to run battlefield 1 at a decent frame. B4 anybody says about bottleneck, there are a bunch of videos and websites that uses pretty much the same setup but is getting well over 60 fps on average( i'm only getting 20-40 fps on all settings). If anybody could help me that would be great!

Well, there's your problem, isn't it?

Anything else using CPU cycles? Because if not, then it's new CPU time then.

BF1 is sure a bottleneck game but it doesn't mean he should get such low frames, a 1050 Ti easily gets into the range of 60 too paired with same CPU

Reinstall game see how it goes, has this problem occurred with any other game

Unfortunately all the charts in the world will not change the fact that your CPU is at 100%. When your CPU hits 100%, that's as far as it will go.

Again, check if you got something else chewing cycles because as it is right now, your CPU is not coping.

Time to upgrade the GPU, perhaps changing the 970 to a RX 480/580 or 1060 6GB.

I really have no idea what you expected from G4560 in such a CPU intensive game like Battlefield 1.

Your CPU is the issue that causes you low FPS.

you guys all have to understand, a 1050 Ti which performs worse than a 970 manage to get more frame rate, with cpu usage at 100 (for i3 6100)

Look at the charts above. 1060 6GB is better than a 970 and still gives more frames than a 1050 Ti.

So CPU or gpu? CPU is more sensible. a gpu upgrade wont increase FPS.

Okay, you're not understanding how the relationship between CPU and software works.

Your CPU is giving you about 20-30 FPS with 100% usage. That means the CPU is maxed out and cannot work any harder. Your CPU cannot give you more frames than that and the GPU is sitting around doing nothing because the CPU is unable to deliver new frames fast enough.

Your GPU is not the problem, your CPU is because it's maxing out.

GPU upgrade will increase frame-rate. Being at 100% doesn't always mean that your system will be at a stand-still. You can usually get more performance from a sensible GPU upgrade. 7700K: people thought the CPU was bottlenecking the GTX 1080 at 1920x1080 then the 1080 Ti comes out and BF1 is getting still more frames with the 7700K.
