G2 and RMi both are excellent PSUs. RMi has Corsair Link, single/multi rail configuration and a better FDB fan (G2 has ball bearing fan) but that's not that important. Get the cheaper one.

EVGA has very good PSUs. In fact i'm running one on my PC. I always try to get more watts than I need, so down the road if I want to upgrade my GPU and it uses more watts, I don't have to worry about getting a new PSU.

If you have more room in your budget, maybe get a 700-800W PSU since I assume you are going to run beefy specs (and good lord they can be power hungry) but it will do you just fine since its a SuperNova :D

It'll be even more than fine, this rig could potentially work on the 550w variant of the EVGA G2

I didn't say all of their PSUs were bad. Every company has defective products... But brand means a lot when it comes to PSU shopping. Would you want a PSU from some random Chinese company you didn't know about?

You've misunderstood me

I said, brand means nothing, EVGA has bad PSU models like White series.

I didn't talk about defective products. I didn't said that all of their PSUs are bad.

Buying PSU by brand is a misconception. You buy PSU by the specific model.

Either one will do. I'd lean slightly towards to the RMi simply because of the Fluid Dynamic Bearing fan but if the G2 is cheaper, I'd just get that.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

The RMi has the better FDB fan as opposed to the RMx's rifle bearing fan.

If both were the same price, I'd easily take the RMi... but if the RMx is cheaper and you don't need Corsair Link, I'd just take the RMx instead.

Sorry. This one EVGA SuperNova 650 G2.

The RMi and G2 are comparable. Just get the cheaper of the two unless you want Corsair Link.
