Does NZXT HUE + work with other led strip?

I just bought NZXT white led strip and now I'm interested in NZXT hue+, can nzxt hue+ change colour from white to other colour and control the lighting? Or does it only work with led strip that comes with it?

A white led can only make white light.  Get an rgb strip for rgb light.

Damascus had it right, but the real question you should be asking is that does NZTX HUE+ work with other non NZTX RGB LED strips?

Interesting question! I just checked ... it did not work with my strips that I have under my case (they are controlled by ASUS AURA from the mobo.

 

I think the NZXT strips have a tiny chip on each one, that allows the system to recognise how many you have on a channel and be able to address each LED individually
