PC for livestreaming of sports events and light gaming

Mario-

1. Budget & Location

Budget is €1000-€1500 just for the PC (with 2 capture cards)

I will reuse HDDs (Seagate Barracuda 1TB and WD Green 1.5TB) and SSDs (Samsung 850 Evo) from my old PC.

The cheaper the better of course.

Location: Austria/Germany (I live near the border)

2. Aim

I'll use this for livestreaming a yearly sports competition with 2 cameras. Recording footage for replays with vMix should be possible as well. So while streaming I want to:

  • Record the stream in 1080p with a lossless codec
  • Livestream on Livestream.com at 720p or 1080p (depending on what's possible)
  • Record footage for replays

All of the above using the streaming software vMix.
I will also take this PC between two cities as I will be studying soon, so I should be able to fit the PC in my luggage easily. The smaller and less heavy the better.

I will only do light gaming, so as long as I can get 60 fps in Overwatch at 1080p at medium or high settings, I'm happy.

3. Monitors

Two 1080p monitors for work (I already have those)

4. Peripherals

no peripherals or OS needed

5. Why are you upgrading?

Because my current CPU (i7 870) can't handle the livestream well enough and my case is not portable enough right now.

My planned build:

(I'll use PCPartPicker and geizhals, because the former doesn't have as many choices in the low-profile area)

Do you mind USB capture cards?
If you want portable, you will be getting ITX mobo and an ITX case but ITX mobo has no empty slots for PCIe X1 capture cards

@Ordinarily_Greater Thanks, but that's not what I was looking for. I want a small form factor PC (So it fits inside luggage more easily) with enough CPU horsepower to livestream and encode 3 different video streams at once. Gaming is not a priority for me at all, a 1050 ti will do just fine.

@ZM Fong No I don't mind USB capture cards, but the're much more expensive, like 300€ a piece for a good quality one (like HDMI or SDI at 1080p at least 30 fps). I'd rather put that money towards a more powerful CPU.

Then you may want to stick with mATX or ATX mobo which results in getting a bigger case

I know, that's I I have a mATX mobo in my planned build as you can see in the original post.

Do you have any suggestions for that planned build?

For your own build, there's actually a mini GTX 1070 from Zotac

@Ordinarily_Greater Thanks, that's better, but I need 2 PCIe slots for my capture cards, because I'll be over the budget with 2 external USB 3 capture cards. They cost much more than 2 PCIe 1x internal cards.

But that's not low profile, just less "long". If I wanted to do my build I need a card that includes a low profile bracket, like this:

That's the case. AeroCool Cs-101 Desktop ohne Netzteil schwarz

There are 4 low-profile slots. Even if you shorten full ones, the card won't fit if it's too big for the case (the case is 112mm in width, so a card shouldn't be higher than 80mm or so). The one I linked (and usually all other cards that are small enough by themselves) however includes a small bracket AND is small enough for the case.

Looks really good, thanks. The motherboard however has one PCIe slot directly beneath the 16x slot, but the graphics card is 2 slots wide, but that's not a problem, there are other boards that have one right above the 16x slot.
