40$ 2.1 Speaker Recomms?

Noyu
Go to solution Solved by Noyu,

nevermind guys my sister brought out a really old Creative SBS-A100 she bought a few years back. I'll use this for now and save my funds for something better later on.

Title says it all.

So far I've found (in increasing price)

  • Edifier X100 (20$)
  • Creative A120
  • Edifier M1360
  • Edifier X600
  • Edifier R101PF
  • Creative A350
  • Edifier P3060 (39$)

Other brands I should check?

P.S.

This will be mostly for movies (games/music aren't a priority)

Not an audiophile.

Will be watching movies on VLC (from an Android Mi Box)

Copies will be Bluray rips (mostly DTS, if that matters)

I would recommend the Swans M10 but they cost P3550($71), luckily, there's a used one for only P2000($40) at https://tipidpc.com/viewitem.php?iid=40808388, you might wanna try checking that out.

sort of staying away from 2nd-hands for now but I'll check it out. thanks :)

I see, I understand, I don't purchase 2nd hand speakers as well as I lack the knowledge to determine if there are any flaws. For what it's worth though, $71 is already a great price, afaik they were around $100+ originally and are still sought out by people from other countries even at that price. I personally haven't used the Swans M10 but it has good reviews and was actually my first choice although since I had money left to spare, I went with the Swans D1080-IV and couldn't be any happier with it.

Yeah I've heard of the Swans M10 a few months ago when I was researching bang-for-buck 2.1 speakers.
