Change the title, it makes it look like a debate, and it's not...

The parts you chose are completely fine. They'll most likely let you do whatever you need to do.

CPU: Intel Core i7 8700

GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070

MOBO: ASUS Z370-F STRIX

RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2133MHz

Why such overkill mobo with 1600x? You could get a much cheaper mobo and get a 1700/7700k instead or just save money. At the very least, get a Taichi instead.

1600x not needed, 1600 is good.

Not sure what you mean by "570x not cool"

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

If you are just gaming you don't need the extra 4 threads. P400S is an excelent case that is very quiet and can fit the H115i in the front for even more cooling. Dropping the motherboard cost and the CPU cost can net you the extra cash for a GTX 1080. You can swap the Corsair 650w for an EVGA 850w. I also recommend a different monitor. No one should pay $300 for a 24 inch 1080p monitor anymore.
