Is a GTX 1080 good enough?

So I looked up gtx 1080s to do research on and the ti seemed to be far more popular. Sadly, I can't find a decent deal on a 1080ti in my country so is getting a GTX 1080 worth it or should I really consider looking for a 1080ti?

The 1080ti has 35% better performance than the 1080 so its the better card by far. And where do you live if everyone has a 1080ti? the only reason to consider the 1080ti is if you have the money to spend on an expensive card

A 1080 Ti is more powerful than the Titan X (not the new Titan XP, its even faster), and costs half as much, thus why it's so popular. The 1080 is still a beast of a card, and should handle pretty much everything you can throw at it.

That 35% faster preformance is at 4k only with an overclock. Its about 22% faster at 1440p and even less at 1080p.  As for the 1080 if your playing at 1080p or 1440p its fine. If your going 4k then a ti card is needed. But it really depends on what you want to do with your system.

Not if you overclock the card. There are many who have gotten 35% or close to that. 25% is about stock 1080ti performance.

It kinda makes your point irrelevant though.

"35% faster, if you overclock 1080 ti and leave 1080 at stock."

If someone is gonna overclock a 1080 ti, they'll overclock a 1080.

I like how you quote something I never said like it is something you believe I said....

And I never said he couldn't overclock a 1080..... I just stated the performance of the 1080ti, so what is your problem?

But you were comparing OC 1080 ti to stock 1080.

I didn't quote something exactly that you said, I was just paraphrasing your point.

No, I didn't. I didn't state what GTX 1080 I was referencing to in the comparison, also most cards are slightly, if not heavily OCed from the box if they are aftermarket cards and even with one of those cards, a GTX 1080ti will see about 30% increase in performance if also overclocked a bit

Also if you are putting something in " " then you are quoting someone.... That's what the signs are for since they are quotation marks...

the GTX 1080 ti is about 28 percent more powerful without an overclock applied to it with an overclock its around 30 percent faster then a GTX 1080 at stock, its a more powerful card, if i was to drop that kind of money on a GPU i would go the extra mile and spend a little bit more to get a lot more performance for the dollar
