Just looking for a laptop for engineering school. Will need to be able to run autocad and matlab and general multitasking needs. I'd like it to be as potable as possible. 15" would be nice to have. Also so very light gaming capabilities would be a bonus. Thank you in advance!

XPS 15 is a great option. (9560 model with gtx 1050)

Battery life is amazing and if you need 4k screen for more detail, the one you get with it is amazing. Nvme SSD is also very fast.. we're talking as fast as macbook..

I think it's the best pick. Strong CPU, nice design, good cooling, great battery, very good screen.. It's my go to

My main concerns are the laptop being thin and powerful. And schooling put first. Gaming is a complete bonus.
