I'm sure this has been discussed up and down before. but I could not find a thread about it.

 

But have some one made a comparison between a full body block and core block (universal)?

 

The big advantage is of course that you can reuse it for other cards.

 

But how much performance is lose by having only small Heat sink on the RAM and Vram in sted of water.

nevhurr use those core blocks dude.

its ugly as f*ck, doesnt cool vrm, ram and all that stuff and is just nah...

Full block is always better, because it cools VRAM and VRM, also "core blocks" look so horrible.

Fullcover offers better anti bending of the card, cools VRAM chips, VRM, and core and obviously will look better.

I totally agree, it looks really cool. But Core block is far more flexible.

It can fast becom expensive to buy full body blocks each time a new graphics card is used.

 

Yes yes I am aware of that fullcover cools Vram, VRM, Etc..

But how much better, then with air and hov much better performance will that give.

I've Heard that Universal Blocks Cool Better but fullcover ones have more benefits

The core blocks are better performers on die.

Full covers for VRAM and VRM sections but less effective on die.

 

The stick on HS for VRM and VRAM work really well,not as pretty but effective.

I only started into custom water cooling but I would be leery of using a die only cooler without really good airflow over the vrm and memory. Not sure that passive heatsinks alone, without direct airflow to dissipate the heat is a good idea with the new generation of cards.

 

With a full block, assuming it is a proper fit, I know the entire video card gpu, vrm and memory is being cooled.
