The G3 (at least the higher-wattage models) is the best performing power supply on the market, but it also has a loud fan. Up to you how much of a tradeoff you're willing to make. If you're annoyed by fan noise the G2 or Corsair RMx's would be quieter and similarly priced alternatives.

That's an excellent one.  I have  the G2 which was extremely well reviewed, and the G3 that you've linked is just an even higher end version.

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

I don't really care much about how loud it is, what I would like is for the bearing to not go bad within like 2 years and make this awful grinding noise

It's an HDB fan, so it shouldn't be going bad anytime soon. 10 year warranty should also cover that sort of thing.

You can oil those fans after a time, the bearing is a sleeve bearing I believe. Pull off the sticker and put a drop of oil on the bearing.

That or replace the fan if the PSU itself is still good.

The evga supernova PSU's are very good.

*Some EVGA Supernova PSUs are very good, while other are okay or not amazing.

G3, G2, P2, PS, 1000G, T2 are very good.

B2, GS, GQ are quite good

NEX-G is average

NEX-B is not completely awful, but not good.

B3 is unknown but likely quite good.

Best performing, no. Loud fan, yes.

I've used many Corsair PSUs and have never had a good one, i'm just gonna move on

You can't judge a brand like that. Corsair has many excellent PSUs, yet it also has many bad PSUs

What are the best-performing PSU's in your mind? AX1500i and Seasonic Prime Titanium? 1600 T2?

Take a look at the 12V ripple and transients on those vs the 1000W G3. Only the 1600 T2 is trading punches, and that's mostly because of the advantages of being larger. Granted, they're all so high-performing that real-world effects will be practically nonexistent.

Well, you're saying best performing PSU on the market so AXi and Prime Titanium are one of them

Instead, I would say that EVGA G3 is one of the best performance TO PRICE PSU.

The G3 has better 12V transients and ripple than either of those. Just because it's cheaper doesn't mean it performs worse.
