Is this a good pc?

BTW: I live in the US and my budget is about $900.

Why not ryzen? Why not get Windows from kinguin or reddit for 20-30$ it is legit. 900$ and no SSD is not good so get a SSD as even 400 build are having one and it makes a huge difference.

I would go with Ryzen.  It's 4 cores and 8 threads, unlike the 4 cores and 4 threads of the i5, and it's unlocked, so you can overclock it now or later, unlike the i5.

Also go with a RX480.  It should outperform the 3GB 1060.

Currently focusing on my video game collection.

It doesn't matter what you play games on, just play good games you enjoy.

If you think all of those parts will handle everything you throw at it then yes! (But M.A.P. is right) Get Windows off of eBay or something (IT saves some serious cash).

You can get 1600 or 1600x in 900$ budget(1600 has better performance per dollar than 1600x so my pick is 1600).

This is the better build.  (I keep forgetting the 580 is now a thing and got used to recommending the 470 and 480)

My main problem is with the 1060 3GB. It doesn't only have cut down vram but also cudas.  A rx580 is a much better deal and it will be about the same if not better than the 1060 6GB in games.

Unsure what power supply to pick?

Check out my HTPC build.

If I were the OP I'd forgo the 2TB HDD and go with an SSD and HDD combo.

This sums up the above thread pretty good @Stevoisboss, and is your best bet, a 580, 2tb hdd and ssd, and cheap windows.

Thanks man. Cheaping out on Windows saves a lot of money, we need to use the iso from microsoft website and need to enter the provided key so the only thing we need is key no matter where we buy it or for how much we buy it. It just needs to be legit thats it.
