Which cpu is better i5 7600k vs ryzen 1600x?

Go to solution Solved by Conan1600,

Basically there are 3 cpu skus that matter in Ryzen. the 1400 4 core 8 thread (not recommended for you as you spend a lot of time on your PC it seems), 1600 6 core 12 thread, and 1700 8 core 16 thread. all are capable of roughly the same 3.8- 4.0 overclock atm and perform very closely. all are the same chip binned down. the 1700 at $330.00 will obviously be the best at what you are using a PC for but the 1600 at $220.00 is not far behind and certainly ahead of any but outrageously priced intel chips for your needs.

Hey guys, I am buying a new pc and i thought which cpu would be better for me to get on a budget.

I am a animator and i also play games around '4 to 5 hours a day'.

Mostly i am going to use after affects, nuke, autodesk max, flame, and alot more.

But i also want to do 1080p gaming.

I will overclock the cpu. Also what motherboard should i buy with the cpu having 8gb×2 3200mhz rams.

Thanks in advance.

Neither of those 2 :D The best CPU is the 1600 non X Because it's cheaper, it has a cooler and can run 1600X speeds no problem :D

With B350 mobo

AMD Phenom II X6 1055T |Asus M4A88T-M |A-DATA 8 GB(4x2) @1333|Asus R7 360 2G OC|Asus TA-M1|Hitachi 7211 1TB|Fortron 460W|Windows 10 pro 64

What motherboard should i choose and the 1600x can achieve more overclocking results than 1600.

I don't know if you were following all the Ryzen stuff, but they all seems to stop somewhere at about 4Ghz even R7's rarely go 4.1 Unless that doesn't get fixed by bios or something which most people doubt, but you never know.

There are good selections on motherboards Asus prime B350, Asrock fatal1ty ab350 gaming k4.

MSI B350 TOMAHAWK. Those are the ones i looked at but the I think i like the asrock most of all
