Try to lower down some settings and see if your fps Will improve.

Do you have problems in other games also?

Try to benchmark your GPU and CPU using CInebench, Valley benchmark, 3d mark fire strike etc.

well this and for honor is the new title games i've played

and for honor runs fine but this my average fps is 35 most of the time...

What graphic options are useless and should be turned off?

I'll try making aa in fxaa and turning of v sync and triple buffering.

I'll download those benchmark programs

Even GTX 1080 can't save you from Antialiasing abuse.

Games like WD run below 40 fps if you go too far on  AA for exemples.

Reading online I see people in similar situations. People with 1080 cards getting poor performance yet people with 1070s get better performance. I wonder if its because the 1070 uses GDDR5 and the 1080 uses GDDR5X (thats the only known technical difference I can find).

Also.... if you're still getting bad FPS. Do us a favour and open up a program like GPU-Z to see how much the game is utilising the GPU. It'll record a visible log on the sensors tab and look for GPU Load.
