Ryzen 5 or i5-7400

  1. 1. As the title explains, should I get the i5-7400 or a Ryzen 5 CPU? The 7400 costs me around ~€200,- (~$215,- USD; ~$285,- CAD)

Hi guys,

 

Please vote in the poll which one would be best suited for me. I want to game at 1080p 60fps. Also, if it helps as a decisive factor, the i5-7400 will drain me of about ~€200,-; ~$215,- USD; ~$285,- CAD respectively. Yeah, we get kinda screwed here in the Netherlands. Also I'd like to edit in the future, which is why I opted for 4 cores at least.

Get the R5-1600. It will be just as good as the i5 for gaming and much better in everything else! ;)

R5 1600 all day if editing, 6 real cores + 6 threads .... no brainer lol - just be reading for teething issues on the platform

If you're gonna be editing a 1600 all day. If you were purely gaming I woulda said 1400 but you're not so...
