Hey guys,
My XFX 390x  recently died and I just sent it for RMA and I was just curious if anybody had to do the same in the last few months and what happened.
Considering the 390x hasn't been in production for a while, were you able to get another one or did they replace it with something else?

Thanks! :)

I believe if they can not replace it most of the time they will just refund you the purchase price of the item in my experience if it is no longer in production. Sometimes manufactures will replace it with a newer item of equal value should they deem it necessary.

They likely still have some 390X cards laying around, so don't get your hopes up.

If they don't, maybe a RX 470 or 480? Haven't RMAed before but those are similar cards. Or maybe a RX 460

It would be a RX480 if they had no 390Xs lying around :P

To be fair, getting a RX480 back is hardly beneficial from a performance perspective but I guess you do get dem lower power figures.

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

What's wrong with the 370? :D

I mean it's a 265...oh wait, that's not great...right...

Think of it as a 750Ti, but its loud enough to make someone deaf and its hot enough so you can use it as a space heater.

Yeah, that's what I was wondering since the RX 480 seem to do slighly worse in some games compared to the 390x.
I guess the only upgrade path performance-wise would be the Fury, which is another out of production card haha
Pretty bad timing for my GPU to die when the RX 5xx are so close to releasing, not that i'd be too disappointed getting another 390x or a RX 480, they're still great GPUs :)

A free "better" sidegrade is always nice :P

Plus drivers for the RX480 can only get better while the 390X's die (Hawaii) have been out for almost 4 years now so...less chances for perf improvements from drivers.
